This Mug Is A Bit Weird
A downloadable game
Play as an underpaid temp worker at a shipping company with a secret history of testing mysterious artifacts for their own gain. Your job is to investigate a strange coffee mug that causes something incredible to happen when it is used – it transports you to another time and place! It is said to have gained its power when an old and elegant tea cup shattered, but you will have to go on short adventures to learn the true origins of The MUG while facing conceptual horrors and the existential dread of your coffee running out.
This Mug Is A Bit Weird is a 2-skill RPG/storytelling experiment intended to be played in over multiple small sessions while you drink a coffee or tea. Use your imagination to play on your own and journal your experience or play with some friends and a Game Master (GM). Choose from multiple character roles, advance and gain new perks. Try to learn the secrets of the MUG and keep your employers happy or decide your own fate.
Note: This was created for the 2020 One Page RPG Jam.
It's probably a work in progress that may be simplified in a future update to resemble a more typical lite one-page RPG or expanded and polished into something more complete. Feel free to break or rehash the system into something better, just link here + include a credit somewhere legible.
Included are 2 extra pages with background information/lore, and two versions of the rules - simple (1 page + character sheet) and full (2 pages + character sheet).
You will need a favourite mug, coffee or tea (or a timer), 1 six-sided die, 1 twenty-sided die and a pencil.

Fixed an important typo on the character sheet for the SIMPLE version. (Freelance Artist role in the simple version now correctly says they do not automatically succeed on a 6 where it previously said 1) .
(Thanks P. )
Other revisions will come later as well as bundling some of the documents together.
